For the past ten years, Ruty has been engaged in developing and managing programs that address social issues. She previously managed vocational rehabilitation programs for at-risk teens and youth at ELEM and was also involved in social enterprises. Ruty has a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology and a B.A. in General History.

Ruty: “I advance groups in the population who are excluded from the job market, and in particular women. The work I do reflects my faith in the power of employment to enhance personal, family and social wellbeing, as well as my belief that every person, from every society, has the right to choose and chart his or her life course.”
